On a Kubota 60 inch cutting deck, the service dept says to grease the spindles until grease comes out the bottom of the spindle. I did this and I cleaned up the extra but the next time I mowed (3-4 acres), I ended up with a lot of brown/dead grass (lots of curves and circles). I figure this was from grease? There was oil residue on the blades. The dust covers under the blades were caked with grease/grass. Usually it's just dry/dusty. Maybe a fuel line leak? I only have 117hrs on it. I may have used an inferior grease. Service then told me to use what they use - Mystik(dropping point 550 degrees). See "dead grass" post.

You need to grease only figureing on eight hour days of mowing which means if your mowing time is two hours you only need to grease every four times. ....

The manual didn't say anything about the 8hrs. But the dealer did. Thanks. ....
